Lead AI Integration Architect

Gerry Carrillos

From an early age, Gerry was an accelerated learner and a designer at heart. At the request of school administrators—and with his parents’ approval—he was advanced two grade levels ahead of his peers. This early academic acceleration set the tone for his lifelong pursuit of education, innovation, and achievement.

His family later moved to Metairie, Louisiana, where Gerry developed a deep fascination with world cultures. Growing up in a region known for its rich blend of ethnic backgrounds and traditions, he cultivated a strong appreciation for cultural diversity. This exposure sparked a lifelong passion that has taken him to the far corners of the world in pursuit of cultural understanding and architectural inspiration.

Following his graduation from high school, Gerry enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, where he served as a Marine Transmission Systems Operator from 1992 to 1996, stationed at Camp Lejeune. During his service, he developed strong technical, operational, and communication skills. These experiences later influenced his disciplined, structured, and highly systematic approach to architecture and design.

After completing his military service, Gerry transitioned to the University of Texas at Austin, where he earned his Bachelor of Architecture. During this period, he established deep roots in Austin. A city he has proudly called home ever since. With the exception of relocating to Atlanta to pursue graduate studies in Industrial Design at Georgia Tech. His connection to the Austin area remains strong, both professionally and personally.

Gerry’s technical expertise includes advanced proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, Bluebeam, Rhino, Grasshopper, SketchUp, Enscape, V-Ray, and Adobe Creative Suite. He also brings hands-on experience with digital fabrication tools such as 3D printing and laser cutting, along with strong conceptual sketching abilities.

In addition to his professional work, Gerry is deeply committed to giving back to his community. He actively fosters dogs that would otherwise face euthanasia, providing care and temporary homes until permanent placements can be found.

Currently, Gerry resides in Austin, Texas, where he continues to contribute to innovative architectural solutions while serving as the Lead AI Integration Architect for Texan Services. Seamlessly connecting design, technology, and forward-thinking implementation. He is also actively advancing the integration of AI that more closely reflects human emotion and response.
